The story centers on Mona Gray, who as a young girl gives up everything important to her in life, except mathematics, as part of a "deal with the universe" to help restore her father (a mathematician) to health. Years later, Mona teaches the subject, and does her best to help her students contend with their own personal crises.
An Invisible Sign of My Own was adapted for the screen by The Wedding Planner scribes Michael Ellis and Pamela Falk.
A test screening was showed at Comsewogue High School in Port Jefferson Station, NY
The film is directed by Marilyn Agrelo. It premiered at the 18th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival on October 7, 2010.
